The First German Tourists Arrived In Bulgaria
For another year the first tourists that arrived on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast are Germans. The specialists point that these "early guests" are regular visitors of Bulgaria attracted mainly by the familiar atmosphere here and for instance also by the possibility to be catered by same waiters every year.The number of the first German tourists is already 450 and they will celebrate the Ouster in Bulgaria. According to the tour operator firm „Kur-Club", the vacation in the beginning of the spring amounts to between € 1000 and 1600.
An exotic taste in that German crew gives a small group consisting of 30 bridge players, mainly ladies in the third age. On Saturday the Frau-s landed on the Varna airport.
The German ladies are addicted to this sophisticated game since decades. It is peculiar to the dames that they prefer to think about the playing cards while they are in different parts of the world. The bridge players are in Bulgaria for the first time and they hope to face some competitors form local bridge clubs, as to combine the playing with golf and spa procedures.
This Sunday the tourists will celebrate the Ouster together with the Christians from the west Europe, but they will also learn what the Bulgarian feast tradition is and taste some traditional food: kuzunak, coloured eggs, lamb meat. The Orthodox Ouster this year falls on 27th of April.
Regarding the new tourist season Fraport, German concessionaire of the two airports on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast - in Varna and Bourgas - considered to invest €25 millions in modernization of the infrastructure. The CEO of the local section of the leading German company welcomed the first German guests of the Varna airport by himself.
The company estimates that this year the achievement of the former year will be repeated and 1.5 million passengers will use the airport services again - a big part of them will be Russians.
It is considered to start the procedure of the planning phase of new terminals in the airports in Bourgas and Varna to increase the passengers' security and improve the conditions by the custom check and in the VIP zone.
