The number of British holidaymakers in Bulgaria would continue to rise after Bulgaria's EU accession, property agents said.
Bulgarian Land Development (BLD) paid 3.4 million British pounds for more than 56 000 sq m near Borovets winter resort. BLD planned to construct a complex of villas and apartments on the bigger part of the plot.
The area was very popular among Britons, Daily Telegraph said.
BLD executive director Dimitar Savov said that all hotels in Borovets were full of British and a 'strong relationship' with UK tourism companies existed.
Savov also said that property prices in Bulgaria had increased by 30 per cent in some areas over the past several years. The average price hike was 15 per cent.
