Another Spa Development To Spring Up In Kyustendil
A new spa complex, worth 2.5 million leva (1.2 million euro), will be developed in the town of Kyustendil this year, mayor Petar Paunov said, as quoted by local dailyVyara on March 25.
It will be a landmark building for the town, located about 70km south-west of Sofia, Paunov added. The compound would be erected near the Ossogovo stadium, through public private partnership, changing the face of the town and hopefully contributing to its tourist attractiveness, according to the local authorities.
The spa centre would have six mineral water swimming pools with indoor facilities that will be able to function all year round, Paunov said. Tourists would also have easy access to the hotel part.
This is the best way to introduce the healing effects of Kyustendil’s mineral springs to our guests, Paunov said in his presentation of the project, as quoted by Vyara daily. The complex will be right next to the forest, so besides the water, visitors will benefit from the town’s nature and landscape as well, he added.
