Varna airport with new terminal

The construction of the new passenger terminal in Varna took 20 months. It is almost tree time larger then the outgoing one (with area of 20 000 sq.m.). The value of the investment is 75 000 BGN.

This is the second major project of the company contractor - "Fraport Twin Star Airport Management" PLC of the Varna Airport within a year and a half. In February 2012, the company opened a fully renovated airstrip of the airport.

The construction of the Terminal in Bourgas is also in final stage and in soon detection. The value of the investment is also about 75 000 BGN.

After the construction of the new passenger terminals they will automatically become a property of the Bulgarian State. This clearly demonstrates the advantages of attracting private investors in the management and stewardship of priority public sites, such as airports, leading to a rapid and quality upgrading.

During the official opening of the Terminal in Varna, Danail Papazov the Minister of transport, information technology and communications said,  "Our city has a modern European airport, which offers quality services to consumers and beautiful and modern interiors".
