Unknown pearls of Bulgaria

List of 50 little-known tourist sites provide the Ministry of Economy and Energy (MEET). Selection is made by experts in the field of tourism, they are considered more than 320 proposals of citizens, representatives of tourist business and the media.

The aim of selection is to increase public interest in the listed destinations and offer more choice for domestic tourism in addition to those already familiar list of 100 national sites that attract tourists.

The main inclusion criteria were the object is significant and is located near already developed tourist destination. MEET hopes that the promotion of these destinations will create preconditions for new livelihoods and creating additional jobs in the communities that are positioned.

The preparation of the list is part of the "Communication campaign to promote domestic tourism in Bulgaria", financed under OP "Regional Development". The initiative will not stop here, assured Deputy Tourism Minister Ivo Marinov, adding that the enrichment of the list will continue in the future.
