Artificial beaches may arise on the Bulgarian coast. This will be possible with the new amendments in the Law for the Black Sea coast. Streaks can be divided from the sea, as in Holland, or can be made like the sand islands in Dubai.
Companies that undertake the task of enriching our coast with new or wider beaches will enter into contracts for works concessions. They will utilize the artificial shores for 35 years, said Milen Topalov, head of the "Concessions" in the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works. Part of the private properties will be expropriated in order to ensure access to blocked from seaside villas beaches, said Lydia Stankova, head of "State Property" in the Construction Ministry.
After the parcel plans are prepared, the state will pay for streets and roads through which tourists can reach the coast. There won`t be private beaches. The changes will put an end to overdevelopment and illegal buildings.
Revenue from rentals and concessions will go to the Mayors and will be spent on dignifying the coasts, on constructing sport facilities and etc. The Act will also ensure the free zones on the beaches with no umbrellas to have access to the sea.
