Starts development of the city center in Dupnitsa

Monday began preparatory work on a project for upgrading the central part of Dupnitsa, deputy mayor Yordan Yordanov.

The first stage of the project should be completed within 3 months.

Activities are financed by the Operational Programme "Regional Development", and their value is 4,5 million.

The project is expected to be completed replacement of underground communication and be fully paved 12 streets in the center, said Jordanov. He added that at the parking lot in front sports hall in the city will be shaped green area and existing parking spaces will be allocated elsewhere.

To be built new fountain on the central Liberty Square will be renovated park behind the police and those in post, to be built and new stairs to the urban garden in the House of art and the Youth Center, added Yordanov.

It is also planned the installation of energy saving lighting and CCTV cameras.
