Analysis of Forton shows, that total render areas in the shopping malls in the country at the end of September totaled 735 000 square meters.
In the third quarter went into operation one shopping mall in Burgas, with which the city took over first place in the commercial area of a thousand inhabitants - 466 sq. m.
For Bulgaria the total commercial areas reached 101 sq.m per thousand people, which is still considerably below the average for European countries - 260 sq.m.
By the end of 2014 are expected to be open four more new commercial centers. Then the commercial areas will rise by 19 percent to119 sq.m per thousand inhabitants.
In the third quarter the base rent for the best shops with an area of 100-150 sq.m in commercial centers decreased by 11% to 24 euro per sq. m per month in comparison with the previous one in Sofia.
In part, the decline is caused by the fact that the next projects will be located in the more remote areas of the city centre. Another reason is the expected completion of several Malls almost simultaneously.
With about 10% are reduced and the rents for the areas in the range 100-150 sq.m in shopping centers in other large cities, as they move in the range of 16-18 euro per sq. m per month depending on the city.
Unlike the capital, however, the deals are less and it is possible that the decline will continue, especially in markets where demand is high.
The rent for the top premises in Bul. "Vitosha" remains stable at level of 40 euro per sq. m per month.
