Renovation for 200 000 levs for the antique theater in Plovidv

200 000 levs will be invested in renovation of the pearl in the crown of Plovidv - the Antique Theater. This was announced by the district manager of Plovdiv - eng. Ivan Totev.

From the project "Beautiful Bulgaria" for the antique theater are allocated 95 000 levs, the rest of the funds are provided by the government budget.

According to the project with these funds the north entrance to the theater will be renovated, which will become the main entrance to the theater and all of the visitors will use it when visiting the theater - the same way as it used to be 2000 years ago.

The lights and some broken parts of the arena will be renovated with the allocated funds. The electricity installation will be replaced with a new one. New toilets will be built on site for convenience of the visitors.

The renovation works will begin from 5th of July. The executor is the "Restavratsia" with the ministry of the culture.

According to the plans the renovation of the antique theater will end in September 2011.
