More than 1/3 of Bulgarians consider purchasing a property over the next two years, shows a study of Societe Generale Expressbank for the property market in Bulgaria.
Nearly 75 percent of them intend to finance this investment with a mortgage loan between 50 000 and 70 000 euro, as the preferred date for repayment of the loan varies between 10 and 15 years.
From the survey, conducted among 1,000 Bulgarians, aged between 25 and 55 years in the major regional cities, it becomes clear that 35 percent of people who already have their own home, are planning to purchase a second one.
The majority of respondents who do not yet possess a property, indicate that would like to purchase a three bedroom apartment. Those who already have their own home, prefer to invest in a two bedroom apartment.
73% of the potential buyers aim to housing in the city in which they live, but there are and those who prefer to move to a larger city.
23% percent of Bulgarians share that they found housing prices in the capital city for bargain. In other regional cities, however the prices of the properties are satisfied with just over 19% of people in settlements with residents to 100,000 people the satisfaction of current offers is 49%.
