Municipality Berkovitsa will attract tourists with a Roman fortress and bathroom

Berkovitsa municipality will become the attraction of the Roman fortress and the old Roman baths, the mayor Milcho Dotsov.

This will become a special project Berkovitsa Rome, which was submitted for funding from the Operational Programme "Regional Development". The project value is 4 million

So far Berkovitsa has attracted tourists to house museum of Ivan Vazov, the beautiful mountain "Ashiklar and Mount Kom. From next summer tourists will walk up to the picturesque fortress to where an asphalt road.

In the fortress and the old Roman baths are to be settled with permanent exhibitions finds recovered during excavations. They will show the history of Berkovitsa from Roman times to today.

The project envisaged the construction of infrastructure of the two new tourist site, added Dotsov.
