The Environment and Water Affairs Ministry said it will launch public discussion of environment protection and construction within preserved areas.
Such talks will be needed after property owners protested against a construction ban in Bulgaria's protected coastal areas, imoti.investor.bg reported.
Regional environmental inspectorates will carry out talks with all parties interested in the property and environment protection in the specific region.
A number of Bulgarian areas are to enter the ecological network Natura 2000. During the talks ministry representatives will present the regions that are to enter the protected network and the consequences of this decision.
Talks will start in Pleven, followed by Rousse, Veliko Turnovo and Shoumen. The second round of discussions will be in Varna, Bourgas, Stara Zagora, Haskovo, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv and Smolyan.
According to EU regulations by January 1 2007 Bulgaria needs to present a list with all regions to be included in the ecologically protected network Natura 2000.
