A room in 3 star hotel in Golden Sands is offered for about 100 levs, in the beginning of the season it was with 30 - 40 levs cheaper. In Albena until the beginning of July a double room with breakfast in 3 star hotel was 69 levs and now it costs 114 levs.

The hotel prices on the south sea coast are higher too. In the beginning of the season a package of 5 days in 3 star hotel was offered for 135 levs, now the price is 210 levs. In Ahtopol one night in a 3 star hotel with breakfast is offered for 40 levs, in the beginning of the season in the same hotel the price was almost half - 25 levs.

These prices will remain until the end of the active season which is till 28th of August - explained Bayko Baykov, manager of Bohemia and chairman of the Association of the Bulgarian tour operators and tourist agencies. He reminded that there is always increase in the prices in the active summer season.

From the association of the hoteliers and restaurateurs for North-east Bulgaria in which are included Kranevo, Kavarna and Balchik are certain that for their region there is no increase in the prices.

There is no reason to increase the prices, because the hotesl are not fully booked commented Dimiter Dimitrov from the association. According to him in the region easily can be found hotels for 35 levs per night. Dimitrov added that they are trying to provide all kinds of bonuses to the tourists in order to attract them. For example on some beaches if the tourists rent a beach umbrella and sunbed they get a free bottle of mineral water.

In Golden Sands though there is slight increase of the prices even for these services, although they should remain the same during the whole season. There the sun umbrella is 7 levs and the sun bed is 6 levs. A month ago the prices were with 1 lev lower. From the municipality Nessebar also confirmed that they received signals for higher prices of the beach umbrellas and the sun beds. In the beginning of the season with the concessionary were negotiated price of 5 -6 levs but they cost 10 levs at the moment.

The director of the government agency of Tourism - Anelia Krushkova announced for Focus news agency data for the tourist season by June which is quite different than her expectations and predictions from before a few months ago that there will be the same number of tourists as last year. According to her the tourists who visit Europe are with with 5.2% less and the guests from the EU are almost 70% of the tourists in Bulgaria. The Serbian tourists are with 30% less, the Greek are with 11.3% less. With the British tourists the decrease is with 21% , with the Germans - 10% and with the Russian tourists it is 7.3%
