757 new houses being built in Bulgaria In the third quarter of 2010 local authorities have issued permits for construction of 1311 residential buildings with 3,405 apartments in them and with 443,743 square meters of gross floor area, 56 office buildings / offices with 35,108 square meters area and of 1,213 buildings with 589,953 square meters of gross floor area, informed by the National Statistical Institute.

Since early 2010 the National Institute of Statistics collects data on initiated construction of new buildings. In the third quarter of 2010 has started construction of 757 residential buildings with 2,260 apartments in them and with 269,794 square meters of total area, 29 office buildings / offices with 18,144 square meters of gross floor area and 514 other buildings with 260,975 square meters of gross floor area.

Started construction of the largest number of new buildings in districts: Varna - 95 residential and 36 other buildings, Sofia (capital) - 89 residential and 19 other buildings, Sofia - 82 residential and 19 other buildings, Stara Zagora - 50 residential, 7 administrative and 29 other buildings.
