Around 70 000 Greek tourists will come for the holidays at home. This said Rumen Draganov, president of the Institute for analysis and evaluation in tourism, was quoted by “Focus”.
The Greeks will visit Sandanski, Bansko, Dobrinishte, Razlog, in this area they will be the most, Pamporovo, Chepelare, Smolyan, will also have visitors from Greece.
From Romania we expect a similar number, in the range of 60,000 Romanians who will spend Easter and St. George in Bulgaria. The Romanians will be mainly in the Northern Bulgaria - Albena, Golden Sands, and in South Bulgaria in Sunny Beach.
"This year we have a coincidence of the Orthodox and the Catholic Easter, which in turn, determine the interest of foreigners, mainly from Central Europe, Italy and Spain, to visit Bulgaria during Orthodox Easter, which they found extremely interesting. This coincidence has sparked more interest from Europe to Eastern Orthodoxy than in the opposite direction", explains Rumen Draganov.
