10% growth of Russian tourists this winter in Bulgaria

This winter our ski resorts expect with 5% more tourists. The expected growth in British tourists is 5%, and for Russian - 10 %, announced by the industry.

Blagoj Ragin, Chairman of the Bulgarian hotel and Restaurant Association, explained that the forecasts are based on reservations to date.

Expectations for an increase of tourists is confirmed and by Bayko Baikov, Chairman of the Association of Bulgarian tour operators and travel agencies (ABTTA).

In his words, the growth will be mainly by Russian and Ukrainian market and in less degree of Turkish.

The industry reported that there is a revival of the travels of the Greeks to the winter spa resorts in Bulgaria.

Experts commented that the demand of Serbia and Macedonia it remains sustainable.

We can safely say that the interest in Bulgaria is increasingly growing. One of the best selling resorts in international markets is Borovets. The reason is its proximity to the airport, which reduces the time for the transfer.

The Bulgarians are looking basically Pamporovo. This winter is expected to be visited by more Greek tourists because of a newly opened border post Makaza.

Foreigners preferred periods of one week vacations. Seven days vacations are cheaper, especially when using a 20% discount for early booking.

The biggest ski resort Bansko was third in popularity among Russians, announced the Russian site Prian.ru.

Last week in Austria announced the prizes for the best ski resort in the world. The vote was on the Internet. Bansko was declared as the best Bulgarian winter resort.

In the mountain town is located and the best hotel for winter tourism, reported the World Ski Awards.
