The ski season in Bulgaria starts by mid December and lasts in the beginning of April. Between those dates, there is always plenty of snow on the pistes and they are suitable for all kind of skiers , from beginner to professionals.

Probably the most famous ski resort in Bulgaria is Bansko. It is the largest ski resort in the country with 18 different pistes, a total 75 km length. The ski slopes are in high altitude – reaching up to 2600 m – and guarantying good amount of snow during all the season. In Bansko there are plenty of hotels and apartments for short term rentals which are suitable for different budgets. Eating out is never a problem in the resort as you can easily find any type of restaurants from fine dining to street food. For beginners it is possible to find many ski schools.
Borovets is another popular ski resort in Bulgaria. It is 70 km South of Sofia. There are 58 km long ski slopes, luxury hotels, nice dine-in restaurants and night skiing until 10pm.
Pamporovo is the third but not the last ski resort in the country. With 36 km of pistes, which are mainly easy green and blue, it is a smaller, more family friendly ski resort. Pamporovo ski slopes are perfect for beginners to learn skiing. There are plenty of snow making facilities and pistes are always ready for the skiers.
Bulgaria has more ski resorts like Vitosha and Chepelare. It is a perfect destination guarantying unforgettable memories and joy if you love skiing and snow.
